Fears & Phobia's

Fears & Phobias are personal to individuals, causing us to react in different ways, however, a common factor with Fears & Phobia's is their ability to activate fearful thoughts, physical symptoms such as a racing heartbeat, sweaty palms etc. and a general feeling of overall panic.

A technique I use with Cognitive Behavioural Hypnotherapy is a proven evidence-based treatment known as ‘systematic desensitisation’ which includes exposure to your fear initially in your imagination using visualisation and deep relaxation techniques.

We add in hypnosis to gradually build your self-belief and confidence to face your fears in real life. We will work through the various stages at a pace that you feel comfortable with.

Hypnotherapy is a very effective treatment for a variety of Fears and Phobias.
E.g. fear of flying, fear of spiders, fear of talking in groups

My whole experience of Hypnotherapy has been a positive one. I had a real fear of wasps, I have gone from being a screaming, hand waving, running mad woman whenever I saw a wasp to someone who can remain calm when one is near me. This treatment has such a positive impact not just on myself but also my children too. Never did I think that when faced with a wasp I could be this calm, so for the change in my behaviour I thank Lorraine very much.
